Description
This video with voice-over explores educational literacy in regards to the "classics", or particular books thought of as "classics", that high school students read. Using personal experience and work from the author of Reader, Come Home Maryanne Wolf, it critiques the relevance and diversity of the classical books being taught to high school students. It argues that students' literacy would benefit from a more diverse and relevant grouping of books in high school English classes, and proposes a possible solution at the end. File type is an MP4 video.
