Dr. Sheryl Pelletier, DCJ, is an Assistant Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation at Jacksonville State University. She earned her Doctorate in Criminal Justice (DCJ) with a specialization in Education from St. Leo University. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Pelletier spent 24 years working as a paralegal and legal assistant.

Her research interests center on civil litigation in policing, specifically examining qualified immunity and its impact on both police officers and public perceptions within the legal system.
