2022 - Composing Care

This year's composition conference theme "Composing Care" invites student authors to interrogate the concept of "caring." What does it mean to care? For the self? For a community? For the environment? For other species? What does caring entail? Who has the burden of caring traditionally fallen upon—and how might we share that burden more equitably? How could an ethic of care help us to lead richer and more fulfilling lives? And how can writing enhance our capacity to imagine a freer and more just—a more caring—society?
