This collection of lantern slides from the Kutztown University Archives were used at the Keystone State Normal School in the early decades of the 20th century. Lantern slides, which consist of film sealed between two pieces of glass, were replaced by 35 mm slides and projectors.
PLEASE NOTE: The titles of each slide are transcribed exactly as they appear on the slide itself, in accordance with current best practice for metadata of online files. The majority of these lantern slides date to a time period before 1905, and as culture, society, and language have evolved, some users may find the language in certain titles unsettling.
