Description
The Soiux Indian tribe is a broad name for a collection of smaller tribes inhabiting the Great Plains region of the United States. There were three main subdivisions, the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota. They were skilled horseback hunters and traveled semi-nomadic to hunt buffalo. In their warrior culture the full headdress was a symbol of leadership and had to be earned in the tribe.
