Description
Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral is the main temple of the Catholic Church in Chile. Many temples sat there before the current one, dating from 1541 to 1769. The current building was built between 1775 and 1906. Serving as the permanent seat of the Archbishop of Santiago, it is located within the Plaza de Armas.
