Description
This slide depicts a 600 foot long dam in yellowstone national park. Beavers build their dams to protect from predators and to store their food, kept at the bottom of the lakes. Once a beaver finds where they want to build their dam they will begin work cutting trees into segments about 6 feet long, carry the limbs of the tree in their front paws and sometimes 3-4 beavers will aid with rolling the tree trunks into the stream.
