Abstract
In one experimental study, researchers believed that female students participating in helpful behavior would not enhance their likeability as compared to male students. Researchers also believed that female students not engaging in helpful behavior would be frowned upon, but nothing would happen to male students who did not engage in helpful behavior. Results showed that there was indeed no gender bias in a classroom environment. This was not what was expected to be found. There was an overall difference in helpfulness shown in the experiment.
