Abstract
This is a song festival from Sikaiana, Solomon Islands in1981 recorded with a super 8 camera. The women are gathering in the lagoon in preparation to sing their songs to the men. The songs were composed in secret in the hope that they would surprise the men with their critical content. On a later day the me will sing their replies.
