The social disparity of working class and non-working-class citizens can be seen in the clothing worn by the women. The women closest are wearing simple, plain clothing and appear to be weaving and selling baskets. In the background to the left there is a woman who is dressed noticeably in more sophisticated, black, tailored clothing with buttons who appears to be shopping.
