Description
This picture shows a view of the city of Burgos. Burgos is a very old city, Spanish tales say it was founded in 884. It was the capital of the ancient city Castile for a long time. In 1087, however, the capital was moved to Toledo. These days Castile is said to comprise Castile and Castile-La Mancha with Madrid at its center. Burgos is located on a treeless, windswept plateau. In this picture you see houses from what appears to be a top down angle. They are plain white houses situated close together. You can also see spires rising above the houses. These spires belong to the Burgos Cathedral, located in the historical center of the city.
