Description
Lantern slide of fishermen showing off the salmon they’ve caught. In this photo, they have used nets to fish. These nets would have been spread across the river in order to catch a large amount of salmon, which would then be pulled in by a team of horses (pictured in the background). At its height, the Columbia River was one of the top salmon producing rivers in the world. In Oregon, circa 1905.
