Description

Antwerp is one of the key sea ports of Belgium and at the time the fifth greatest sea port in the world. The picture shows two peasant girls with their dog pulling a cart full of milk. It was common in the time for peasant women and their dogs to pull carts carrying vegetables, milk products, poultry, and more many miles to be sold.
