Description

Stratford-on-Avon is called such because it is on the Avon river. Shakespeare was born in this house in 1564. He studied Greek, Latin, and mathematics at Stratford Grammar School. When he became old enough he went to England where we learned about theatre, becoming an actor and writing plays, many of which are still studied today.
