Abstract

This is a children's story (tala) from Sikaiana in the Solomon Islands. The story was told by Samson Tiki, then written down from the recording by Priscilla Taulupo and then typed from Priscilla's handwriting by Bill Donner. There may be some mistakes in the typing since the computer wanted to autocorrect. The story was recorded by Bill Donner as part of ethnographic research from 1980-1983.
