Abstract
A recording of Fane Telena discussing traditional ritual on Sikaiana in the Solomon Islands. The recording was made with Bill Donner as part of ethnographic research from 1980-1983 among the Sikaiana people. The interview covers a variety of traditional practices before the conversion to Christianity, including the Hale Aitu (central ritual house), Manea (ceremony to replace the rotting materials in the ritual house, Teika LLee (a ceremony performed when a large fish washes ashore), Huata (a harvest ceremony), and other ritual activities,
