Description
Blarney Castle was first fully built in 1446 by the King of Muscry, Cormac Laidir MacCarthy. Following supplying the king of Scotland, Robert the Bruce, with troops for the battle of Bannockburn, MacCarthy received the Blarney Stone. The stone, if kissed, is said to grant anyone with a silver tongue and still resides in this castle today as a popular tourist attraction.
