The Grand Opera, or the Palais Garnier as it is referred to today, is an iconic opera house located in Paris, France. The building was commissioned by Napoleon III and designed by architect Charles Garnier who incorporated a mixture of Baroque, Classical, and Renaissance styles. Construction began in 1862 and was completed and opened to the public in 1875. The opera house is known for its opulence and showcases the brilliance of French art and culture.
